It's never too late to dance
Our adult ballet classes are conveniently scheduled on Mondays at Pontprennau Primary School from 7:30 to 8:30 pm, easy to fit into your weekly routine. Whether you're a complete beginner or a returning dancer, our supportive community welcomes you exactly as you are. If you would like to pursue RAD ballet examinations and have never started that pathway, we typically recommend Thursday's RAD Grade 4 class, 7:30 to 8:30 pm at the same venue. You do not need to have passed earlier grades. Miss Danielle will guide you when you are ready. Exams are always optional.

Miss Danielle Emms is the founder of En Pointe Theatre Arts. Registered with both the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, she brings exceptional expertise to every single class. Her teaching is informed by anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, aiding dancers to achieve excellence in technique and performance.

Common Questions
Am I too old or unfit to start ballet?+
Absolutely not. Our adult ballet classes welcome complete beginners of any age and fitness level. Miss Danielle creates a supportive, non-competitive environment where you progress entirely at your own pace. There is no pressure and no performance targets.
Do I need any dance experience?+
None at all. Whether you've never danced a step in your life or you're returning after years away, you are very welcome. Every student starts exactly where they are.
Can adults take RAD ballet exams if they have never started?+
Yes. If you would like to pursue RAD examinations and have never started that pathway, we typically recommend Thursday's RAD Grade 4 class, 7:30–8:30 pm at Pontprennau Primary School. You do not need to have passed earlier grades. Miss Danielle will advise when you are ready, and exams are always optional.
What happens at the 2-week taster session?+
You join the class as a normal student for two full weeks with no long-term commitment required. It's your chance to experience the teaching, meet the other students and decide whether it's right for you.
When and where are the classes?+
Open Adult Ballet is on Mondays, 7:30–8:30 pm, at Pontprennau Primary School, Cardiff. RAD Grade 4 Ballet is on Thursdays, 7:30–8:30 pm at the same venue. Both are one-hour evening classes that fit neatly into a working week.
